LIT Camp – Ages 15-17 years – $610 three full weeks
Session 1 – July 1-20, 2012
Session 2 – August 5-24, 2012

Camp Douglas invites you to a three week intensive Leadership Training Camp.  Leaders-In-Training (LIT) are campers who want to learn more about leadership, faith and life at Camp Douglas.  LIT Campers will gain experience in leading devotions, planning camp activities, and participating in community service projects and be challenged by an over-night kayaking out-trip.  In their final week, LIT Campers will partner with real Cabin Leaders to work with younger campers.

Some campers will have completed an LIT Camp in the previous summer but will not yet be 17 years old (therefore, not old enough to volunteer at Camp Douglas).  LIT Campers taking this leadership program for the second time will be given new leadership challenges to encourage growth beyond their previous experiences at Camp Douglas.  Some of these projects could include: interning with the Program Director to plan a camp theme, interning with the Worship Director to plan a Bible Study or Campfire session, job shadowing the Administrator or Director, planning out-trips or service projects for future LIT programs.  All second year LIT’s will work closely with the LIT Directors to plan challenge projects that suit their interests, skills and talents.  If you have any questions concerning this program, please contact our administrator at administrator@campdouglas.ca
