Camp Douglas Staff and Volunteer Applications are due on January 12, 2015.

Interviews will be held on January 17, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church in New Westminster. All short listed applicants will be contacted after January 12th to set up an interview time. With interviews just around the corner, here are a few tips to help you prepare! Just remember the four “P’s” – PREPARE, PRACTICE, PRESENT, PARTICIPATE!

1. PREPARE- take some time to think about the job that you are applying for. What makes you the best applicant for it? Take some time to think about positive qualities you will bring to the job.

2. PRACTICE- if you are nervous about your interview (please don’t be!), take some time to practice beforehand. Dream up a few questions that you may be asked and practice answering them in your head, to your mom, or in front of the mirror. Hopefully this will help you speak confidently as you have already thought about the question.

3. PRESENT- while this looks like we are asking for presents, we are not! This point is all about how you present yourself in an interview. It is okay to be nervous! Most people are! Acting confident can have a positive effect on you and on the interviewer. Presenting yourself well in an interview can have a positive effect too. Always remember that one of the most important things you can wear is a smile!

4. PARTICIPATE - This is your chance to sell yourself! Tell us why you are the best person for the job. We want to know why we NEED to hire you.

Remember, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7.
