The Head Cook is responsible for ensuring that healthy, age-appropriate, kid-friendly meals are prepared and served in a timely fashion and in adequate amounts. She/he will ensure that menus are planned, food is ordered within budget, and the kitchen and dining hall is kept clean and organized. He/she oversees all kitchen workers, delegating appropriate tasks to the Kitchen Assistant and volunteers. He/she reports directly to the Camp Director.
Qualifications:An understanding of and caring for children, and the ability to live and work in a Christian camp environment.Proven kitchen skills and cooking experience, culinary education an asset.The ability and eagerness to maintain a clean and organized camp kitchen and dining hall.A minimum of 19 years of age, unless otherwise approved by the Camp Committee.
